The following are reasonable Cemetery decoration regulations that are in the best interest of the Waldo Township Cemetery management and the families of Waldo Township Cemetery and Waldo Township. It is our aim to provide a place of beauty where our loved ones will be remembered by future generations.
Spring clean-up will occur by Easter each year. During the spring cleanup, any loose decorations will be disposed of.
A reminder will be posted at the cemetery and the Waldo Township Shed between March 1st and Easter.
Types of decorations allowed:
- Shepherd hooks will be permitted under the following conditions:
- They must be a minimum of 20 inches off the ground.
- They must be placed hanging over the headstone.
- Saddles and permanent arrangements will be allowed if they are on the monument and cause no interference with the mowers.
- Tin containers.
What is not allowed:
- Glass containers of any kind
- Plantings of any kind (unless specifically approved by the Waldo Township Board)
Articles such as toys, cards, photos, ornaments, sandboxes, etc. are not the responsibility of the Cemetery, the Waldo Township Board, or the company that is contracted to mow the cemetery.
